OMG. MY NEIGHBOR'S GIRLFRIEND ATTEMPTED TO COMMIT SUICIDE...

IN FRONT OF MY GATE.

I swear, i'm not exaggerating!!

Okay, but first, HAPPY BELATED SWEET SIXTEEN BIRTHDAY JOEY NG!
Actually, i admit i forgot it was your birthday. Then last night i looked at my phone and then i realized it was already 23.59 for 17th august already. I know even if i last minute send you wishes, confirm cannot reach you before it turned 12am. So i didn't, in case you think i remembered the wrong day for your birthday!

Okay, the whole commit suicide story began like this.

On friday night at 1am, i heard a bell sound outside and people with talking. Thinking if i told my mother about it, i'll definitely get scolded for talking nonsense at night especially when 7th month is drawing near. When i went to bed that night, i heard 2 people talking about my neighbors' son refusing to talk to her.

The next day, i totally forgot the incident. But after watching tv at 6.30pm on saturday, i heard the same voices talking again. Confirm plus guarantee chop chop, cannot be i'm hearing things anymore cos it was much louder and it was broad day light. I went to the gate and then i heard the girl saying that she would wait for him to come out and talk to her otherwise she'll stab herself and jump down. Not only i heard them, but my sister and victor heard them too. Mummy wasn't home through the whole drama.

Being typical Singaporeans, who won't be kaypoh right? C'mon, even if you claim that you are not kaypoh, surely you've eavesdrop on people's conversation before. We listened to what they said for a while. My sister was in her room, i stayed in my room and victor went to the gate there. After a while, they thought it was getting boring and then my sister continued using her comp and victor watched tv. My sister only told me to call her when the girlfriend was about to jump.

So i stood there and listened and listened.

After 10 minutes, i guess the girlfriend gave up speaking to his parents. She walked like 5 steps away to my gate. She stood there for a little while, sipping water from her bag. His parents said why not you go home, he won't come out. (Duh, she has a knife, who in the right mind would want to talk to her) And she said "yong dao ye bu ke yi" which meant use knife also cannot.

The next thing i knew, she used the bricks (my mum placed bricks outside the house to put plants) to climb onto the ledge and her legs were already swinging mid air.
His parents ran out and pulled her and I SCREAMED MY LUNGS OUT.

Duh, imagine you seeing someone who is about to jump down right infront of your eyes??
My sister ran out and scolded her to go somewhere else to jump. Lol.

Then, his parents called the police who called the civil defence and ambulance. Even the girl's parents came. Paramedics brought the stretcher to my gate and there were 3 police cars.
Everyone ran up to my block and stood in front of my gate. Again, Singaporeans being kaypoh, a gazillion people kept looking at my house and taking photos. Nb la. -.- Even affie could see the crowd from her kitchen. Kay, whole drama lasted for 3 hours and in the end the girl left unharmed but she had to leave with the policewoman.

Later, my neighbors' daughter came out to apologize to us. But i've to admit, throughout the whole incident, the coward guy didn't even step a foot out of the house. Please la, this kind guy, so cowardly, don't deserve to have anymore girlfriends.

In case, you're wondering how come the girl didn't jump infront of my neighbor's house but at my house instead. Or why other neighbors didn't come out of the house.

It's because in my block, there's only 3 families on my floor and all of you who have came to my place before knows that my house is arranged in an L shape. And so happened that my other neighbor was out for dinner.

The red line represents my neighbor's house, the one whose girlfriend attempted suicide, the purple line is my gate and the grey line is my other nieghbor who wasn't in. Blue = staircase, yellow = ledge, and if you can see there's 2 boxes there which are the bricks she used to help her climb over.
Pardon my drawing, this is why i never did my art homework at all. My sister was the one with the arty talent, she did my art homework last time.

Kay, only 2 policemen here but there were 9 on saturday.

PHEW, I FINALLY GOT IT OFF MY CHEST.
I can't really sleep because each time i close my eyes i see her "jumping".
Anyway, i've something to announce.
